Welcome to WOOSH

WOOSH (Outside School Hours Care) provides quality Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for children from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our programs are designed to provide children with a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where they can play, connect, create, explore and develop new skills outside of school hours. We offer a balance of structured experiences and child-led play, allowing children to make choices, build friendships and enjoy their time at WOOSH.

As part of our ongoing program, WOOSH offers a range of interest-based clubs that provide children with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Our clubs are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and collaboration while allowing children to learn through play and meaningful experiences.

Our clubs include:

Earth Club – Encouraging children to explore nature, sustainability and caring for our environment through gardening, recycling, environmental projects and hands-on experiences.

STEM Club – Providing opportunities for children to investigate science, technology, engineering and mathematics through experiments, challenges, construction, problem-solving and discovery.

Art Club – Supporting children's creativity and self-expression through a range of artistic mediums, techniques and creative projects.

Life Skills Club – Helping children develop practical skills and independence through experiences such as cooking, budgeting, organisation, problem-solving, self-care and everyday life skills.

Culture Club – Encouraging children to learn about and celebrate different cultures, traditions, languages, foods, celebrations and perspectives, fostering respect, curiosity and understanding of the diverse world around them.

Christian Values & Ministry

As a ministry of Wyong Baptist Church, WOOSH is committed to providing care that reflects Christian ethics, values and the love of Christ. Our approach is grounded in values such as kindness, compassion, respect, honesty, forgiveness, service, inclusion and care for others.

We see WOOSH as an opportunity to serve children and families and contribute positively to our wider community. Our educators seek to model Christian character through the way we communicate, build relationships, resolve conflict and support each child. Children are encouraged to demonstrate kindness, respect and consideration for others and to recognise the value and dignity of every person.

Our Christian ethos is woven throughout our everyday interactions, relationships and programming. Children are provided with opportunities to explore Christian values, develop an understanding of serving others and experience the importance of compassion, gratitude, forgiveness and community.

While WOOSH is grounded in Christian values and operates as a ministry of Wyong Baptist Church, we seek to create a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for every child and family, regardless of their individual background or beliefs.

WOOSH is guided by the values and ethos of Wyong Baptist Church and Wyong Christian Community School, with experienced and dedicated educators committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, included and supported.
